In Ancient Greece, they began all their festivals with honoring their Gods. Men were the usual people to preform the songs that honored their God Dinoysia, which was also the name of this certain festival, while the tragic poets were also chosen to present their plays. The plays had an influence on religion and politics because Oedipus, a play maker with some famous plays, assumed many powerful roles that were in the political circle.
