future they can find what worked and what did not in the past. Also they can write down their past so people in the future can see what they did wrong and how to fix it. What happens in the past can effect the future by a lot, because if you did not do something it could change the whole future. People do not all see yesterday from the same way because we all have our own opinions and views.
