Hannibal Barca (248-183 BC) was the son of Hamilcar Barca, Hannibal married a princess. His earliest commands were given to him in the Carthaginian province his son-in-law Hasdrubal. Hannibal led Carthage against the Romans in the battles during the Punic wars, and in the second Punic War (218-202 BC) Hannibal led his army and some elephants over the Alps, and attacked the Romans. The Romans were not able to stop Hannibal, So they took the war to Spain. Hannibal was defeated at the last battle of the Punic war by Zama.
